I'm sorry if i'm being picky, but many of times when i've used someone elses phone the earpiece is filthy. Now i'm not going to stand there and clean it. How about telephone handsets that sanatise themselves when the reciever is replaced. Surely it can't be that hard......... can it.

Suppose dry steam would work, Or just a mechanical device built in to give it a little scrub..... |

you know those little paper doodahs that you can slip over public loo seats? what about lickle paper telephone covers. |

Would that not make them ear covers? |

This idea really needs more substance (and I'm not talking about earwax)as it stands it simply comes across as a WIBNI and a bit of a rant. |
|
|
How about a hot, steam bath, then a
lashing sesssion with fresh leaves, and
a plunge into ice cold water? You
just invented a Turkish Phone bath -
how perfectly appropriate. |

More sterilization freaks trying to make us all into bubble-boys. A little invisible earwax residue from the last guy never bothered me one bit. |

Seeing as we are all descended from the telephone sanitizers on the B ark you would think this would be instinctive. |
|
|
Oh, and [globaltourniquet], please don't tempt me to post about a glory hole sanitizer. |

Um.. Hmmm. [po], can I ask what exactly using a "Lickle" paper telephone cover entails? I'm not sure that it's exactly in the vein of this idea. If I don't want my ear to touch it, I'm pretty sure I don't want my tongue anywhere near it. |

That said, it'd be easy to have a couply of UV LED's built into the holder. It wouldn't exactly clean the earpiece, but at least it'd sterilise it. Or you could build the holder such that to withdraw the earpiece, you had to "scrub" it past a brush or felt pad or something. |

Can I point out the recent surge in "there must be a way" ideas, that state a problem, but don't pose any solution? I didn't think that was exactly kosher. |
|
|
Not that I can really talk, I haven't posted an idea in months. |
