This rigid fairing curves up around the back of the rider from its mounting under the seat and ends at a lower position in front of the handlebars. The curve and rigidity of the materials keeps it from deforming. It protects the rider from wheel spray, the weather and forces the rider to adopt an aerodynamic riding posture.

But it prevents the rider from adopting a more comfortable position when flat-out speed is not top priority.
