Paper towels lightly air brushed with a very small hard plastic specks. The paper towels are further treated with baking soda. Could be sold as variations of this idea for different purposes.

Formerly Sand Paper Towels but UnaBubba had a better name for them.

This sounds like it would rub me the wrong way...

Talk about exfoliation ... sheesh, its taking the hard road

It's not for your skin. Only Mr Burns has it correct.

       I like it.

I like the name scowels better.

Put it on toilet paper and it could be scrapper. <proposed jingle> "Be sure to use Scrapper in YOUR crapper"

Plastic = nonbiodegradable. Why not use slightly less pulped pulp? Wood sounds scratchier to me than plastic, anyway.

Then again, you could just use the cheap, 60-grit toilet paper they supply in office bathrooms.

Thanks UnaBubba, I do like that name better.

You could make it with apricot scrub instead of plastic bits for a more natural look and feel.

"Why not use slightly less pulped pulp?" Eeew - splinters!

Might be better if you have a drizzle pattern of thin plastic, almost like a netting sort of design. It would be safely abrasive and give more structural integrity too.

       Croissant!

(But when a scowel is wet does it drop plastic specks everywhere?)
not_only_but_also, Nov 23 2003

[waugs]There was a paper roll towel decades ago in the US that had a reinforcing netting sandwiched beween the two plies of paper. Anybody remember that?
