My idea is a box of cereal named Scooby-Doo Cereal and it will consist of the whole Scooby-Doo gang and the monster machine van, and the characters will be made of marshmellow, and it will be like the Capn' Crunch cereal somewhat, and the front of the box will have the Scooby-Doo logo on the front and
will have Scooby-Doo games on the back.
if u wish to contact me about this idea please contact me at my e-mail address which is: DeliciousMaMaSita2003@yahoo.com
Which Scooby Doo character are you?

Yeah. I'd like to see a judgment call from [jutta], but I don't think there's much of an idea here. |
Hey I've an idea. What about Dawson's Creek breakfast cereal? You could have marshmallow Katie Holmeses and a how annoying is James van der Beek puzzle. Or: "Mmm, a nice juicy bowl of Party of Five." (Repeat ad nauseam with different shows.) |
This is as much of an idea as my "Assaultines" idea or Grimrock's wonderful "Stomach Settlers" idea and they're still around. |
<flashback>
...now let's see who the _real_ rlbmd is...<rips off mask>...why, it's old man winters, who runs the haunted house at the amusement park!!!...
</flashback> |
Only if there could be a Scooby Snack at the bottom. |
I think this is baked in pretty much every aspect. They're not for sale now, but the Scooby-Doo Boo-Berry cereal has most of the features rlbmd describes. And there's plenty of similar cartoon-related cereals out there. As someone unfamiliar with American breakfast cereals, this is all fascinating. |
"He would of got away with it if it weren't for you pesky kids!" |
<seething> How dare they sully the majesty of Boo Berry cereal with that insipid cartoon? </seething> |
Heh. I think that mihali was on the right track. Scooby Doo mystery cereal. Each box really contains some other popular cereal but, until you open the box, you'll never know what it is. "So, they were only Cornflakes after all!" |
it's soo much like other cartoon cereals, make
something fresh. [-] |

First, welcome to the Halfbakery. Don't let what I'm about
to say deter you from contributing, because we love to
have new members with fresh ideas. |
Second, your comment, while dead on the money for
accuracy, is pretty much what other Halfbakers had to say
about this stinker of a post ten years ago. The only real
reason to go
digging up old ideas (especially the bad ones) is if you have
an original, insightful
point to make that nobody else has elicited. |
I'd suggest contributing to the active discussions about
current ideas (the ones that show up on the 'recent 3' page
when you log in). Ignore the elitism, have fun, and
remember that almost everybody was a newcomer once
upon a time. One more tip: around here, vicious mockery
is a sign of acceptance. |

I have to say this idea should be m-f-d'd, widely known to exist. (link) |
While i suspect it's a lot older than this idea, for all i know, given
that this is a decade old, the original poster might just have
baked this themselves, which is what we're seeing in the link. I
want to believe this but very much doubt this is so. |

//I want to believe this but very much doubt this is
so.// A crisis of faith. About breakfast cereal. |
For some reason, I spent about fifteen minutes searching
the web and came
up with no hard facts, but a lot of questionable
information from which conclusions may be drawn. Here is
what I learned during my wasted quarter-hour: |
- The Scooby-Doo breakfast cereal was made by Kellogg's.
It was introduced sometime in the late '90s, probably in
1998. It did not sell very well and was discontinued after a
few years. It was definitely available in stores as late as
2005. |
- The cereal was cinnamon-flavored and had large fruit-
flavored marshmallow chunks that were supposed to
resemble ghosts and monsters, which they did about as
much as [The Alterother] resembles Christina Aguilera. The
cereal itself was powdery and broke apart easily. All of
these attributes were probably the cause of its
discontinuation. |
- There are a number of people who are quite upset about
this and the number of forum posts, blog entries, and
online petitions calling for its return is surprising, given all
of the other really terrible things that people with no taste
are clamoring to have ressurected. |
These chilling findings suggest that not only is this baked,
but it was in fact literally baked, packaged, and sold in
every major grocery chain across the US, Canada, and the
UK at the time this idea was posted. [rlbmd], whatever
else it may have been, was an idiot with an email address
that it probably thought was extremely clever and
hilarious. It stooped here for a time, left its foul spoor,
and moved on. |
Bun from me, because I have been watching a fair bit of the original show lately, with newfound appreciation for the jazzy soundtrack, the emphasis on logical problem solving, and Velma. |
Be honest: it's just Velma, isn't it? |
