Science has been mostly a pursuit of truth, but in some
cases, in addition to scientific rigor, it may be a
romantic
and playful endeavor of two [or more] people engaging
in
information-theoretic love.
Generally, regardless of feelings towards each other, the
resulting paper, when published
in a journal, has to be
of
standardized, rather sterile format.
An idea is a journal, which accepts research papers with
unusual, creative designs and patterns, from people in
information-
theoretic love.

Hasn't the division between truth and beauty (or the lack
thereof, the school of thought to which I subscribe) been
the source of scientific and philosophical debate for
centuries? How is 'information-theoretic love' any different
from a research partnership? |

It could well be the definition of love in general, but since
the word "love" is generally used to refer to something
defined as "an intense feeling of deep affection," I made
up this definition to refer to this more-specific concept. |

The idea of the definition is based on the observation
that the desire to survive in some form is what we all
pursue either consciously or subconsciously, because it
was induced by the passing of time, evolution of life, and
our propensity to counter entropy (i.e., preserve
information). |

That's probably the drawback in most information-theoretic approaches. Only information that is information to the information is accepted as information. |

However I like this idea because it addresses major themes that are emerging in the world, especially knowledge production in the post-industrial information age, and how people have basically become the information they are in the process of producing. |
