I like to eat salads and am very fond of having lots of different topings and condiments on my lettuce or spinach. The problem is that when it comes time to make the salad, I have to haul out all the different little containers and bags containing the various ingredients i might want to add to my salad, this ends up being several trips to the fridge to get everything i might want.

I propose a Salad "Tackle" box which would allow one to have everything they need to construct their salad in one handy container.

The various compartments of this tupperware like box are sized based on the item they might hold such as tomato, thus the size is figured such that you can chop up an average to large sized tomato and the container will be sized to hold it. Slip in removable containers for things like bacon bits and croutons allow you to shake on just the right amount for those items that tend to be shaken on rather than tossed on. The entire box closes up tightly to preserve freshness(with vents in appropriate places for those things that need to breath) and has a nicely integrated handle to aid in transportation from the fridge.

I've seen compartmentalized tupperware but not tailored to tomatos. Kind of a bento box approach.

       Good idea!

A place for a replaceable potassium permanganate filter/sponge would be cool too as it would efficiently absorb the self-destructive ethylene gas (CH2=CH2) created by the vegetables. (The small volume of the Salad Tackle Box makes this especially feasible.) There could also be a small, airtight, sealed from the (KMnO4) compartment - (with desiccant) - for quick self-ripening...
