Safeway Club Club 2

...or what I thought Safeway Club Club would be!

OK, when I read the Safeway Club Club I was terribly disappointed that it was not a blunt instrument to carry and scan in order to get Safeway Club Member savings. Wouldn't that be nice? It's harder to lose than the pesky cards, and it would be nice in the express-lane dilemmas discussed elsewhere...plus, useful in fights for the last carton of ice cream et c.

What's up with the [blah blah blah]2 ideas lately (safewayClubClub2, 13monthCalendar2)? Couldn't these just be annotations to the original [blah blah blah] idea?

They're usually "same name, different idea". I think it's actually pretty reasonable.

I wonder if you could just make your own club and laminate the card to it?

       Especially handy during Holidays.

I have to say I like the idea of people walking around with sticks, each of which has a barcode burnt into it. Counterfeits might be a problem.

but would the blunt object fit in my purse?

       It could fold.
