Why open the packages ? There are processes that will efficiently sterilize packages relatively non-invasively, depending on the contents and the nature of the packaging. |

A hyperbaric chamber filled with oxirane <link> will deal effectively with most biocontaminants. |

Because there might be Coronna on the phone cable
that's inside the packaging from the packaging
worker's sneeze. |
|

Oxirane will infiltrate the package and oxidise or de-nature any viral proteins witn ruthless efficiency. |

I suspect that Coronavirus won't survive more than a day or
two outside a body anyway. |

Depends what's in the package, then ... |

The wifey received a package (t-shirt) from China yesterday... had a nice
little "Sterilized" sticker on it. So, either this is Baked, or they're at least
making the claim. |
|
|
The stickers sound like they'd be inexpensive, reassuring, and completely ineffective... |

You stay away from my bear repellent sticker! |

Ok here's the thing. I spoke with a friend who's an
expert on import from South East Asia and who's
wife is a pharmacist. The virus breaks down after
three days in the dry. And the problem is not in the
merchandise but in the people at manufacturing and
at supplies. Somebody needs to prepare the raw
materials package the murchandice ship it and put it
in and transport it. All of that is done by Manuel and
his team. |

Yes; the inexpensive, reassuring, and completely ineffective stickers sound a better idea than ever. |
