Develop smart robot bulls as an annual San Fermin alternative (use them in the bullfighting ring also, for that matter). The fans get their excitement, idiots still get gored on YouTube, and no bulls are harmed in the process.

If we can add some sort of electric tazer-like property to the robot bulls I'd be happier. Or cowardly-men seeking missiles. |
(No matter how proud a tradition bull fighting is, I am *not* a fan) |
Gored _and_ shocked - I'm for it! |
Or maybe they could shoot those little color-filled pellets at people they get close to, rather than impaling them.
Call them paintbulls. |

Running with the cars might be fun. On an Interstate. |
Part of my dreamscapes includes me running at freeway speeds in freeway traffic - too many hours logged on a motorcycle, I suspect. |
How about Running With The Gulls, the goal being to avoid being targeted? |
Gored - fixed. Duh. Shows you how much of a fan I am of this nonsense. |

Darn! I was hoping this would be a silicon valley event with herds of nerds and geeks (a group of which I am a proud member!) chased by BattleBots style fighting robots. |

I'm all for this, but your bullbots would have to have very particular properties: |
-make sure they smell like a sweaty angry beast |
-make sure they spit out copious amounts of stinking and sticky saliva as they run |
-same with pee and caca and sweat |
The race is very bestial and a live enraged bull is an awesome animal. |
That's why it should never be killed, only smelled and watched. |
Good chemistry can easily mimick saliva, sweat, pipi and caca. |

"Running with the cars might be fun." |
You should post that. That's good. It might actually be possible, as possible as bulls anyway. |

Talking of Robots and Spain... The Spanish title for Will Smith's sci-fi Asimov movie is "Yo, Robot." |
That's just the kind of thing Will Smith would say as well. |

Good call! After all, real bulls can't shoot fire from
their noses or have glowing red eyes, and robots
can't feel pain. |
//electric tazer-like property// horns of course. |
