Bread is quite flexible, until it gets toasted, and this is the characteristic of which the Rolly-Polly Toaster takes advantage.

A sausage (vegetarian in my case) is inserted into a hole on the side of the toaster, and rapidly cooked. Just before it is ready, the slice of bread which was placed in the toasting slot, gets drawn inside, and rolled around a drum-like heating element until it's toasted to the required degree.

An internal mechanism pushes the sausage into the rolled up toasted bread, which emerges like a type of hot-dog ready to eat.

Delux version has condiment reservoir that squirts heated sauce into the rolled up bread, at the same time as the sausage is being inserted. Yummy!

Are you talking about bread, or Chorleywood imitation?
