Ring World

When my phone rings, the world springs to action

MP3 ringtones are so last year. The goal here is to cause the ringing of my phone to produce a real world effect, short of someone hitting me over the head with a baseball bat.

The mechanism proposed is the association of my phone# with a URL of my choice, which should be easily implemented in any number of "follow-me dialing" systems.

This URL will be a page programmed by me that will, for instance, send a signal to Aibo to bark, or make my robotic snake slither, or make all the X10 wired appliances in my house flash, etc.

i, for one, think this idea would be quite handy.

"as recardo sensed something wasn't right, his aunt Laurna dialed his number. he saw his cellular light up and let out a blood-curdling scream. his house went up in a mushroom cloud, and power went out for about 3 square blocks."
