There are all sorts of things on the market that flash whenever a nearby phone is ringing...so build this into a fashionable ring. Whenever you're in hectic situation where you cant hear your phone ringing, you wait for your ring to ring. A small LED inbuilt into finger jewlery that flashes whenever your phone goes off. Think of all the calls you wouldn'nt miss. Of course the ring would have a switch that could en/dis - able the function....so if you're expecting a call, just keep the phone in your pocket and you';re ring will let you know.

Better yet, build the whole phone into the ring, and do the thumb/pinky thing.

Have linked to something totally unrelated because of the name of the invention... sorry. ;-)

this is totally baked. Philips has a ring with a camera and a cell phone in it. See link.

On a ring or wherever, this is not such a good idea. The fact is, is blinks when ANY phone rings, so you end up not knowing if it's your phone or someone else's (-)

In my experience someone else always hears the phone even if you do not. So if this is a problem you have then wear a sign on your back and front which reads, "Slap me if I'm not answering my phone, thanks!"

Eventually this will (d)evolve into a small colored pin universally known to indicate the message.
