Ants and rats can eat through normal caulk that is protecting the home or business from invasion by closing intrusions. The idea is to embed caulk with rat/mouse and insect repellent and/or possibly insecticides/rat poison to keep them out. Natural ingredients, such as hot pepper extract or cinnamon could be used, as well.
