Don't like this. It smacks too much of macho idiots who wish they lived in Top Gun instead of in Clapham South. Friends are friends - a wingman is someone who follows you around in a fighter jet and shoots at people who are trying to kill you. If you want friends to run spoiler for you, I recommend cultivating married friends. These tend to be more generous since they have no vested interest in seeing you crash and burn. |
