Sometimes it's desirable to plan lunch or dinner with one or more people in other town(s), and have the meal be at a place which is well-reachable by everyone. It would be useful if a mapquest-style service could be asked to provide a list of some type of business (e.g. restaurant: Italian) which would
be readily reachable by people coming from several addresses. Although one can attempt by hand to manage something similar by picking a point geographically near the middle of the people who are going to meet, the non-uniform density of roads means this often doesn't work too well. A service which could recognize that road distance doesn't always correlate with crow-flies distance would thus be handy.

A good idea - it's entirely feasible for some algorithm embedded within Google Maps or any other online mapping tool to suggest good rendezvous locations for a group of friends. I'm almost surprised this doesn't already exist |

Paid advertising in online services has probably increased a lot over the past couple of decades |
