I propose the Remote Clinking Hub.
A central unit - probably an iPhone app - connects using Bluetooth to miniature clinkers that fit over the rim of each glass. The clinkers include battery powered hammerettes that clink the glasses at the right moment.
Right moments are configurable of course, but normally, the right moment is when the glass is raised, accelerometers detect the act, clink the holder's glass and transmit the clink to the central hub.
The other clinkers receive the instruction and clink remotely.
