Reciprocal Zoo

Food budget: small

against]

Being founded on good, scientifically sound biopalindronymic principles, the reciprocal zoo contains merely:

1x crab spider (family Thomisidae); 1x spider crab (Macrocheira kaempferi)

1x barnacle goose (Branta leucopsis); 1x goose barnacle (Pollicipes sp.)

Applications gladly considered for the inclusion of further pairs of species, or of appropriate foodstuffs or activities with which the residents may amuse themselves. The head zookeepers' (two, naturally) decision is final.

So there's, like, only 4 ammamals in this zoo. Least you won't get lost.

After a joint petition from the Mexican and Australian embassies, the RZ deigns to permit:

1x kangaroo rat (genus Dipodomys); 1x rat kangaroo (family Potoroidae).

       Six ammamals! Six!!!!

Algea and common water snail? Am I getting the point of this?

An Aye-Aye and another Aye-Aye (but facing the other direction). Eight Ammamals!

I'm adopted. My mum and my mum, my dad and my dad. Not just reciprocal, palindromic too! (and twice the birthday presents when I visit the zoo...)

       Spider monkeys and monkey spiders.

Oh and Monitor Lizards, and primary school pupils who happen to be put in charge of feeding the reptiles.

Oh and Cap'n Ahab, and an Orca.
zen_tom, Jun 17 2006

I've never heard of a monkey spider. And neither has google.

But if we are just making stuff up. How about a Lying Politician and a Political Liar.

//primary school pupils who happen to be put in charge of feeding the reptiles// Does that mean the kids tasked with putting away the IT display equipment are monitor monitors?
AbsintheWithoutLeave, Jun 18 2006

And of course the security guards charged with watching the people in the building where the remote lizard watchers sit are: Monitor monitor monitor monitors. Unless they them selves work remotely making them monitor monitor monitor monitor monitors. And their bosses are ....

Jellyfish, the other to be served on toast within the zoo's cafeteria.

The monkey spider / spider monkey diptrych I leave to the specialists of the Bristol Hairy-legged Nomenclature Society.

On a point of sheer reflectolexical beauty I feel honour-bound to accept [Galbinus]'s pair of aye-aye ...

... Oh hell. What's the correct plural of aye-aye? Aye-ayes? Surely not; too clumsy. I prefer the more mellifluously cambriophile: aye-aye-iau.

Reminds me of the mongoose-bothering zookeeper of legend ... [link].
