You can pay a lot of pens and get sleek fancy pens, with previous metal, opals, fossilized wood and all that. Or a box of plastic pens. Maybe some vaguely techno looking pens. Sometimes a man has to write.
But what if foofy pens are alien to you, and you would rather use a smearly pencil, or giant
black crayon? Or carve what you want to say into the table using your Bowie knife?
For you, O Man, BUNGCO introduces the Rebar pen. Each pen is housed in a length of rusty rebar that we pried from the wreckage of a seedy downtown hotel. Pens come with authentic rust, and some have adherent chips of concrete. That rebar ridge means that when your fingers are covered with barbecue sauce, the pen won't slip loose.
Here at BUNGCO we are actually pretty foofy, and so the guts of the pen are just ballpoint refills, and the whole thing is dipped in acryllic so your hands dont get covered with yukky rust.
The thunk, though, cannot be concealed. Drop this pen and it will thunk like only manly salvaged rebar can thunk!

Extra [+] if rebar sourced from former Atlantic wall bunker. |

An alloy of Tim and Zonc. |

//dipped in acryllic// ? But I don't write Russian! |

It's the thunk that counts. |

Wasn't that Speedy Gonzales? |

Not necessarily Russian, but our mascot Speefy G will help you pick up your pace. |

A real man would stick it behind his ear when not in use. |

Needs to come in bashed up metal box with a carrying handle. As always the great bungston has a winner. |

I like it, too +
Thinking options for women: Pink Rebar,Lavender scented
rebar, Silver or gold plated rebar? |
Well, obviously. How else would it be mightier than the sawed? |
You're not seriously suggesting teaching women how to write, are you ? There'll be no end of trouble ... too much education causes their heads to explode, you know ... |

I am loving those pens, wjt! Excellent choice of
rebar. I think anything you wrote with one of those
would wind up in all caps. |
I wonder if you treated some new rebar to get that
optimal rust level, or if these were found? |
I wonder about fountain pens. Even more
incongruous. |
Rebar pencil should be possible, although one would
need a grinding wheel to sharpen it. You would
want to make sure the sparks don't land on your
paper. |
[bungston] Nope, old rusty rebar. A bore, a quick surface grind to bring out that rebar pattern and then some acrylic as ordered. Upcycled with ball point ink tube. |
You also made me think of the pencil and therefore pencil lead carving and what might be done with rebar. |
