This might be baked, but I'd like to have the option of having the back button take me back until the address changes and does not redirect, so that web pages that double-load don't trap me when I want to back out of them.
I hate having to hold down the BACK button to find a safe web address.

A properly written redirection (redirector? redirectus?) does not have to break the back button (link) |

Both Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator have a drop-down button located adjacent to the Back button. This allows you to view the last 20 or so pages viewed in that window. If you go back to the first view then reselect the drop-down, you'll see the 20 previous to that, etc.. |

I think we all are aware of the drop down button... seal even mentions it in his/her last line. It's a bother. |

In addition to the normal back button it features a 'rewind' button taking you where you really want to go <g> |
|
|
It also has a 'Fast Forward' button which opens the page you want to go next... Well not exactly, but it works well with google - it goes to the next page of results. I think it looks for words and phrases like 'next page' and 'continue'. |

I would also like to see the Back button do another thing. If you click a link that opens a child browser window, the Back button in the child should close the child window and return the focus to where you clicked the link. |
|

This is actually more of a UI issue, Opera supports mouse gestures that I find useful, just right click anywhere and flick the mouse left and it's like you clicked the back button, and easier to just do a few gestures to go back numerous times then nav to the back button and click like a mad man. Other gestures include open new windows, forward, close page, etc... |

Krelink, now killing child windows is a good idea that I'd like to see implemented in a web browser, though you'd have to prolly make some kinda state manager to remember what link spawned what windows... could be kinda messy from the implementation end... |
