A scale 1:100 catapult would make a better mousetrap. Fasten the bait, wind the rubber bands tight, load the ball bearing and wait. When Mr. Rat starts chewing on the bait, he trips the trigger, freeing the bound launching beam. The beam whips up and past the vertical before hurling the steel ball downwards to crack the rodent’s skull.
