Random factor result hider

invent numbers and hide poll results with them.

  [vote for,
against]

On voting day in the US how things are going can tend to affect how those who haven't voted, vote. For example some years ago in the presidential election many people of a particular party stayed at home because it was reported they had already lost. If the press can't be stopped from reporting results they can be fudged.

I propose that a random number of positive and negative votes be reported during elections and withdrawn after elections for the final tally.

Awareness of this random factor should encourage more voters to go out and vote the way they think is right.

edit: fixed pedantry error in line 1.

Are you proposing that misinformation be reported? Wouldn't it be simpler not to report anything?

       - Confused.

Are you voting to proposition reporters? Misinformed.

Mid-polling results aren't released right now (at least in the US). What the news organizations are reporting on are exit polls.
