Utilizing the gravitational power of rain, there is a small "rainmill" hooked up to a waterproof musicbox, slowly turning.
As the raindrops catch in the buckets on the mill, it turns, also turning the little cylinder in the musicbox.
A melody comes forth from the small box.
Of course, it is
playing "Singing in the Rain".
What a great addition this would make to my fountains

"raindrops keep fallin' on your head..." |
Surely this could power my cellphone ! |
The beauty of this one is that it isn't used to generate power in any way, just tinkle a little. |
What, it can't play "My Girl?" |
How's about a honky-tonk pianola? It could play cockney knees-up tunes as the rain falls. |

What a horrible thought. "It's raining Chas and Daves." |

The Cascades' "Rhythm of the Rain" for me... |
You could put these in modified drainpipes and have yourself some kind of pipe organ. |

Excellent. I like the fact that the lighter the rain, the slower the tune would be played. |

I'm racking my brain to think of other ways of making music from the weather in your garden. Wind chimes have been done......lightening theremin anyone...? |

If you could direct the raindrops somehow, time them using some sort of valve or mechanical means out of a spout, you could place timpani heads underneath them and have some great music. As a matter of fact... |
