This is a rainbow screen.

You would mist the air so that it was evenly composed of droplets of liquid, and control the contents of each droplet so that you have reflective material suspended in a clear solution, and then control the spacing and orientation of the suspended material through cymatics or through magnetics like an ekg or electron tomography or whatever, an then by having a computer control the cymatics or whatever you could manipulate the resultant rainbow that you would get when a light was shined through this misty medium.

Add in drugs and oils and you could give people sustenance and euphoria by them breathing the mist.

Ah, that's where the whatever comes in. It's clever stuff.

Oh right, I have loads of whatever, I never knew you could do this kind of stuff with it.

Personally I prefer et cetera. You never run out of the stuff.

Really? I ran out years ago.

Randy (or Rudy) Rucker wrote about robots that breathed in "dreak" quantum spin aligned xenon gas that would cause large amounts of electron synchronicity causing the robots to hallucinate in ordered ways
