The phrase 'crumpled heap' comes to mind.

Quit 'n' Win Sweepstakes

Makes you think twice about whether you want to smoke that cigarette

Charge a little more for cigarettes, but make each cigarette come with an instant-win game ticket. So, by buying a pack of cigarettes you could end up winning $10,000,000!

The catch is, the game card is printed on the inside of the cigarette paper itself. So, to see if you've won, you have to destroy the cigarette.

Desperate for a smoke? OK, go ahead. But remember, you might be turning 10 million dollars into a pile of ashes.

Annotation:

Kind of like Oreo sweepstakes of not-so-long-ago ... don't eat the million dollar cookie ...

But the person who just quit wouldn't buy the pack of smokes with the $10M ticket...

Smokers would just keep the tobacco and make rollies out of it.

I buy cigarettes instead of lottery tickets because I want to smoke, not lose. Don't try to make me pay for something I don't want.
