Comfortable Online Video Integrated Display: A lightweight
folding large screen, powered with batteries, to be used in
the hotel lobby or in class
(when the two become useful again after we get over
Corona)
Receives the vid signal with a bluetooth wireless HDMA
interface.
Put it in you
laptop bag, and use it in the park or at home.
Take your big screen from your desk and bring it to the long
and boring meeting.
We adamantly discourage you from taking it to your bed or
to
the toilet.

You're no fun any more, do you know that ? |

Battery-powered video projectors are Baked and WKTE. Presumably this is a large LCD/LED/OLED ? There doesn't seem to be much innovation here, large screens running off low voltage DC are also Baked and WKTE. |

So why is it that last week when I searched for two days on
the web to buy my daughter a portable large screen, I
couldn't find one, and now after you said so, I immediately
found "The Best Portable Monitors for 2020" ? OK largest is
17'' so still not there. |
|
|
Maybe I was using display and screen and didn't think of any
other searchwords such as monitor? But I still didn't see
anything like I wanted. Then I found [[this youtube: The
USB-C portable monitor you can take anywhere]] and
understood from the narration that it will never be truly
wireless. Still we are getting there. |

Bottom line. NOT WKTE, and not even baked yet. But for a
reason: They don't have a good folding tech yet. |
|
|
Not "good fold up", but there is "roll up" from LG (not wire-
less or portable, yet...). |
|
|
For me, folds up as small as a postage stamp, unfolds to be the size of a house, would be about right. |

Ignore his ludicrous babblings, they're completely impractical. Only someone who works in marketing would take something like that seriously. |
|
|
No, just make it so that - folded up - it's the exact same form factor as a regular credit card, so it can be carried in a wallet, and folds out to a screen with a three metre diagonal. Oh, and it runs off a single CR2016 lithium cell. |
|
|
There now, that shouldn't be so hard, should it ? |
|
|
27 inch wide screen folds into 3x2 9'' ones. What's wrong with
that? |
|
|
Would you settle for rolling the screen up? |
