behind my condo complex there is a narrow concrete alleyway that needs to be cleared occasionally for buisness delvieries...This makes it impossible to leave any sort of permanent structure there, the fact that it's concrete pretty much rules out anything anyway, anyhow I've been thinking lately that
it would be fun to construct some sort of portable "back yard" game for me and the neighbors to play when I thought this up...A horse shoe pit on wheels...It can be simply rolled out of the way when cars need to go by and rolled back to resume play...the only real problem is that it would be difficult to remove the sand and put it back everytime you wanted to play so I'm looking for some innovations on the idea...
Someone mentioned perhaps using a tupperware container on a furniture dolly which sounded alright but feel free to comment and check out my microsoft paint drawing

Po: I'll Disect --"Throwing "pot" stones is an allusion to the game of 5 stones explained on the website you supplied, the person explaining the game of 5 stones mentions that the stones were made of what he called "pot"...as far as flicking-fag cards, thats another game outlined in the website...when i say that flicking fag cards is where the action is i simply mean that i enjoy flicking fag cards over throwing "pot" stones...see? |

-cheers to you for a fun game- |

I never could get the hang of flicking cigarette cards. 5 stones was very popular when I was a child and if you have never indulged - don't knock it, it is addictive - I promise. there was also another game which involved a small ball and half a dozen little X shaped gizmos along the same lines. thank you for elucidating your original annotation. croissant to you. |

My favorite back alley game is "spread nails around and watch the delivery trucks all get flat tires".. then comes horseshoes. You could try digging the pits and covering them with plate steel during delivery hours? Game on! |
|
|
So wait untill the trucks get flat tires then play horseshoes? thats a new new game entirely! The steel plate is fantastic...however I think the city owns this alley and may get upset after I dig it up...something to look into |

Nice. But since this is the halbakery...how about some auto-retracting horseshoe stakes that duck in to the pavement when a vehicle is coming. |
|
|
Nah, they don't mind, so long as you don't cut any major utility lines.. |

Half: Do not back up. Game in progress. Severe tire or windshield damage will result. |

Coincidental true story: I had a horseshoe court set up in my back yard while the yard was torn up, sans grass, during "re-model". I thought it might be a good idea to move the court to the unpaved alley behind my house when the yard was finished. |
