Play Recording Of A Sea Lion Barking

In random areas across the country, only once, then in a different city next week.

In the middle of the day, Monday, exactly 12:00 noon, the unmistakable sound of a sea lion barking is heard all across the city. Only a few seconds, it only happens once, everybody hearing it will know that unmistakable sound but ask "Where the hell did that come from?"

Maybe 3 seconds long, a total of 4 barks. Then, next week on that same day, in a city across the state or another state all together, the same phenomenon occurs.

How to do this is not the question, there are several ways to achieve it, the question would be why? The answer would be... I'm working on that, but it would catch people's attention, give them something to talk about, and if properly done, give people a mystery to solve. It's monday, it's 12:00 noon. Would you stop and listen for mysterious sea lion bark? I would.

Now you're saying "That's really stupid."

To which I say... yes. Yes it is. However.... uhh. Yea.

And if you get bored traveling around the country playing just barks... https://www.youtube...watch?v=hkFaAUe3f6s
could mix it up a bit with these. [doctorremulac3, Dec 22 2022]

I’ll take that as a compliment.

Thank you pert, didn't expect any buns for this one.

Might have more punch if employed as a response to various bone-headed statements from governmental figures.

That just gave me an idea. A podium featuring a massive loud speaker playing those sea lion sounds really loud forcing the politicians at that podium to yell to be heard.

I'll spare the good Halfbakers having to read more than that by posting it as an idea, but I personally would like to see that.

Just occurred to me, if this was a thing, I don't know about anybody else, but if it was noon Monday and I listened for the mystery bark, I'd be kind of disappointed if I didn't hear it. Weird thing is, I'd have no idea why. I could even see myself getting excited if I DID hear it.

Wonder if others would react the same too.

Not like it's particularly beautiful, inspiring, in fact it's totally meaningless. Somebody played a sea lion bark for some reason. Yet I'd have a small celebration in my head. Maybe that's reason enough to do this.
