I own a PDA. It is a hugely useful device, but - along with all the other items of technological gallimaufry I seem to have acquired - it is entirely devoid of any aesthetic (or comic) merit.
Combine PDA functionality with robot technology to create the businessman's best friend. Obviously the
choice of mechanical animal is up to the individual user, but I would choose a spectacularly plumaged bird of paradise which would sit, parrot fashion, on my right shoulder. It could calmly coo the 'phone numbers and addresses of my friends and colleagues, squawk agitatedly if I was late for a meeting, and gently nibble my earlobe if I was feeling down.

Fair enough, [8th] - and the retractable laser would be a plus. Stairs a problem, though. |

I'm not sure if B's of P have lobed ears - I am pretty sure most parrots don't. |

If you wear an earring in your navel is it still an earring? |

Am thinking avine navels are rarer than lobes. |

I suspect they don't have navels as such, as they don't have an umbillicus like mammals; the yolk sack is consumed by the embryo as it grows, and by the time the chick hatches pretty much all traces of it have been resorbed ..... but if someone knows better, let me know. |

i'd rather an elf follow me around with my PDA. he'd also fetch my coffee and do the dishes. of course, he could still nibble my ear if i were feeling down. |
