Formal place settings come with all sorts of specialized implements. Depending on the menu, you might have a steak knife, fish knife and/or fork, cake fork, butter spreader, pickle fork, usw.
But none of these implements reflect the most important addition to modern American cuisine - the pizza.
Obviously, we need to add the pizza wheel, with a long, elegant handle and a small but razor sharp wheel, to elegant place settings everywhere.

I cant decide how I feel about this one. On one hand, I expect my pizza to be served already sliced up, so such a thing should not be necessary; but then the same logic should apply to stake knives. I.e., why do they give you a special knife for cutting up your steak when they could just slice it up for you in the kitchen? |

These could become very fancy, with rainbow colored blades that blur when you roll them, and odometers that measure the number of revolutions turned. |

[AO] By my read, this is to further slice your slice. The pizza itself is already sliced and is sitting properly on your plate as it is served. But does one soil one's white silk gloves with gormet olive oil? I would think not. I think the pizza wheel would make a wonderful addition to any high class italian restaurant. |

[World] If thats the case, then the compliment to the personal pizza wheel should be a tiny, long-handled pie server to be held in the other hand. Using the wheel you would slice off a sub-slice from your pizza slice, then daintily bring it to your mouth using the spatchularette. |

[AO]. I would only expect my pizza to be ready-sliced if it were a take-away pizza. I certainly wouldn't ifn I was in an Italien restaurant. I find the super sharp knives that some of them supply good enough without reducing the meal to a TV dinner actually in the restaurant. As for pre-cut steak...just no. |

That said, I like your minature pie slice a lot. It would stop all the topping sliding off. |
