As the concept of the multiverse becomes mainstream, we will soon recognize the need to engage the legal concept of property. Each person at birth should be assigned a fixed number, say three, of parallel universes to do with as they please. A person's universes are like any other property and may be
bought, sold, bartered, mortgaged, bequeathed, etc. Universes can be numbered serially for record keeping.
