This symbolic adornment consists of a flag cut from flameproof fabric to appear already partly burnt. A slow burning wick is clipped to the ragged edge, and can easily be replaced as needed. Optional flagpole with oil reservoir also available.
Great for outdoor mood lighting while strumming out songs

Does [Detly] dare answer and risk being attacked with fishbones? Find out next week. |

Oh, right - the important part! Any of them. Including those of the OPEC, the UN and CERN. |
I think it would be amusing to invent a fictitious flag and burn it in the street. I have a suspicion that no-one would call you on it. |
I think there would be a degree of irony in a flameproof OPEC flag. |

There was a court case in the US in about 1989 about whether or not flag burning (specifically the stars-and-stripes, I guess) was free speech, and therefore protected by the Constitution. Anyone know the outcome? |

You'd better watch out - it might inspire some new messianic religion. |
//it might inspire some new messianic religion// No, for that you'd have to have a perpetually burning bush (or Bush). Thanks for the link [calum] - a real long-runner. |
Lets here less about burning any Bush's. Thank you. |

Use the World Bank or IMF flag. Nobody knows what these look like. I think they keep them secret just so people dont burn them. |

I lived in a city where city hall allows anything such as this to go on. It is a N.A. model of a successful metropolis. |
You have to be careful that the burning flag doesn't touch the sidewalk and leave a black mark as I recall. The people who would make a comment were stuffed shirts, about to make a huge deal with that particular country. |
I don't like the burning of flags in general. A flag is symbol for a country, a people, a culture and a history. When you burn it you state that you hate all of this. It is sad to do this. bad for karma. I bone this idea. |

A public library shouldn't be rented out to a foreign film crew to shoot their next sausage movie of the week. Build a set cheapskates or I'll burn your flag. |

Flag of the ACLU ----- *snap ** crackle *** pop ** + |

Heh, [wagster]. I guess the IMF flag would be easily recognizable since it says IMF on it. Ive seen these flags before (from my International banking days), but thought it peculiar that they were never flown outdoors. |
Could be useful for effigies too. It looks like some regions must go through a lot of effigies, and this would be an economical solution. |
Yeah you'd think they would spend some of their flag budget on food or water. |
