It's so frustrating when you are waiting for your computer to do something and you're bashing the keys or monitor trying to get the hunk of junk to work.
And we aren't getting any thinner sitting at our desks munching donuts and coffee.
Why not have a computer that has a pedal-powered generator
so when you need that extra performance you can work out your aggression at the same time and get your machine working. The faster you pedal, the faster it goes!

Or you could put your exercise bike near the PC to use when the PC is busy. With the money you saved by not inventing/purchasing a mechanism for making your PC work faster using pedal-power you could buy a faster PC instead. |

hmmm. right.. you're going to slow down my PC for most of the time so it can be normal speed when I'm exercising.. [jezuk] I hope you can do better - welcome to the HB. |

This might work for a mechanical computer (up to a limit), but I don't think your computer's working slowly for lack of power. |

we have done this idea once or twice before. its here somewhere! |

[jesuk] Assuming all other variables are constant, isn't a PCs processing speed boolean ie. it won't go faster if you add more power, it's either on full speed or switched off? |

Pedal-powered x is not a new idea really. Welcome to the bakery though! |

lol! I realise it's not really possible with the way computers work, but if it was, the days of fat IT guys would be over. |

I know that if it were possible many people would get a benefit out of it. |

So it's just an idea (that's why it's half-baked, right) |

Sorry my report is late, boss. I got a puncture. |
