Revels are chocolate covered sweets (sold in the uk) with a variety of centres, including coffee, orange, toffee, and peanut.
The fun of revels is that, generally, you don't know what flavour you've chosen until you bite into it.
Heres the problem. Excepting the peanut, all of the revels are round.
Hence, when you see a peanut shaped revel, you know it's going to be peanut flavoured.
I propose making all revels peanut shaped so that *every* flavour is a suprise.
Quite the opposite

Call me banal... <pauses for rush of 'bakers clamouring to call me banal> but I see life as being about the little things. |

You've been echoing lately. You should see someone about that. |

At last - finally people with peanut allergies can play true "Revel Roulette". |
Given that the whole point of Revels is supposed to be the element of surprise, it did always strike me as odd that the peanut Revel with the only Revel without a cause. |
Perhaps it's a liability thing. |
I was about to suggest that not knowing which contained peanuts would mean that allergy sufferers would need to avoid them all, but I imagine that such people would do so anyway as they are all processed in the same plant (the sweets, not the sufferers), and cross-contamination would be likely. |

Aren't the ones which are just chocolate a different shape as well - like a Minstrel without the shell? Or have Revels moved on since my day? |
I think I miss the point by eating them in handfuls which, perhaps predictably, always seem to have the same odd peanut/toffee/chocolate/orange flavour. |

Revels - pah! Everyone who's anyone in the world of high-volume confectionary consumption knows that Crispy M&Ms are where it's at now. But I guess this would help you stubborn Revels geeks, so have a (crispy) croissant. |

I was always grateful for the mishapen nature of the dreaded peanut Revel: |
"And ye shall know it's shape. And it shall be of the peanut, because it is peanut but lo there shall come a time, when the peanut shall be formed as those of soft cream are formed and together shall be the *plague* of the peanut hating sweet-tooth-ed. And let there be salvation in Poppets" |
