I literally just woke up and got out of bed to post this, so I hope it doesn't suck.

Beginning with my generation, each successive generation of People should take the American flag from the moon and deliver it to one destination farther away. For instance, my generation will take it to Mars, the next generation will take it to Jupiter's Io, and so on. With this motivation in a few generations we will have conquered the Galaxy. The challenge is open to other countries, I'm just not sure how China will feel about planting an American flag on a planet.

Make the flag into a solar sail.

Nah, Halo has done the whole capture-the-flag in space thing. :-P

Surprised there aren't already some AOL CD's out there somewhere.

       I like this. +

There are AOL cds out there. What else are they good for?
Psalm_97, Feb 07 2012

I hate having to explain a joke, but by 'out there,' I meant space...

But maybe you knew that already. It would explain the moon's reflectivity I suppose.

I'm sure at least one AOL CD ended up stuck to the bottom of a Voyager probe...

       Brilliant.

Bit of a hard sell to add a Moon stopover on the way to Mars just to pick up a flag though. Love the spirit of the idea anyway.

RayfordSteele - I knew what you meant. What did you *think* Saturn's rings were made of, rock and ice?

I just wish I knew how they burned so many, so fast. They have to have burn towers the height of a cathedral or something.
Psalm_97, Feb 07 2012

Actually, AOL perfected the Von Neuman machine back in the late '90s.
