You've been out with them. In a pub, restaurant or nightclub there is always that one person who seems to be bent on not having a good time. They constantly whine and complain about everything and everyone. I suggest a special room in pubs, etc. specifically for people who don't want to have a good time. When someone starts bringing the party down, take them by the hand and lead them to the "Party Pooper Room" and leave them there for the evening while you go and enjoy the festivities. This has an added bonus of the "party pooper" meeting others like him or herself that they can hang out with, freeing you to hang out with your fun friends.

[DVME], is it unhappy idea time again?

I believe that "in the alley with the dumpster" works just as well.

I suggest taking them by the hand and lead them to the front door. Once there, open said door, step back & raise best foot, swing this foot onto the behind of the party pooper and close the door.
Optional comment as pooper is airborne: "Away an' shite, yer miserable bastard!"

I'd go in there, added benefit of not having to buy a round of drinks.

..and you wouldn't have to put up with that other bunch behaving like prats. Or the soggy chips that fat bastard of a publican dishes up. have you seen the price of his post-mix? Talk about your 1,000% mark-up. Daylight robbery. Why do people always make so much noise in bars when I'm trying to watch the cricket?
ConsulFlaminicus, Jan 12 2006

I'd rather two pubs back to back. If you're in the noisy pub and you just want to be quiet they throw you (or you go) to the quiet pub. If you're being a bit boisterous in the quiet pub you are ushered (quietly, of course) to the noisy pub. In the middle, between the pubs, are the toilets, decorated with yin-yang symbols.

Heh, and those that don't really conform to either, then there's the cellar at the bottom of a lengthy wooden staircase.

This would be good. Misery loves company.

Just for a moment there, I thought this posting was going to be about people who have pools, and parties... And about clearing-up after them. Yuch

Thanks for giving me a good laugh this morning, folks. LOL :-)

Since I dislike bars, I think I'd really have a good time in there! ...except wouldn't that mean I shouldn't be in there?
phundug, Jan 12 2006

BTW [Consul] I tried to watch a cricket match once with a friend who was quite keen on the game. The rules were so confusing it made my head hurt. Of course, I live in Texas where football is a religion and I'm not crazy about it (football) either.
DVineMissEva, Jan 12 2006

Don't any of you guys have a "Snug" at the back of your pub? A little room big enough for about 4 people, with a door. That's *exactly* what it's for! If you've never seen one, just do a pub crawl of the older pubs in Cambridge and you'll find several.
gtoal, Jan 12 2006

I'd take em to "The Animal".
blissmiss, Jan 13 2006

Right next door you could have a room for all the 'fun' people who are so intent on having a good time that they don't think to find out why one of their friends is unhappy. Maybe call it the "selfish airheads' place where we go to congratulate ourselves on being so cool and fun-to-be-with"? I'll be in the bar.
Prak, Jan 30 2006

But those people have usually been dragged out by the "fun" people and would much rather be doing something else. They are not the ones at fault, the draggers are, and should probably be flashed by ugly people.
