Paranoia Things

Things placed around you to detect disturbances by others, disturb you instead.

You are disturbed by the constant surveillance, but so require your own surveillance to detect the unseen and perhaps all- seeing presence of others. Paranoia Things are prepackaged innocuous objects, that one can place anywhere.

Once placed Paranoia Things remind you that there might be someone watching you, after all you placed them there didn't you? The personal security checklist enclosed is actually a psychological exercise to reaffirm your need for them.

Annotation:

I suspected you might be watching.

Why did you put that there?
rcarty, May 27 2014

My area at work is under constant surveillance, and I am also one of the "watchers". So this wouldn't really work for me, as I can back date the footage to see what really happened. Last time I did that I caught the woman who stole over $70 of HGTV magazines from our lobby. The bugger. But a + for idea anyway.

Paranoia countermeasures : paranoia :: OCD countermeasures : OCD.

Are you sure you're really paranoid ? Maybe you just think you're paranoid ? Perhaps it's just a trick ...

And don't you think it's highly suspicious that there's no evidence of a conspiracy ?
8th of 7, May 27 2014

I don't have paranoia that's just what they want me to think.
rcarty, May 27 2014

Tin-foil lined ball caps to block brain-transmissions,
Being watched night and day quite against our volitions,
Blacked-out car windows and panel-van stings,
These are a few of my paranoid things.

       "Black helicopters and cellphone emissions,
Closed circuit TV and nuclear fissions,
Drone strikes and smartbombs and submarine pings,
These are some more of my paranoid things …"

("Tinfoil-lined ball caps" fits the metre better)
8th of 7, May 27 2014

"Little grey aliens in their flying saucer,
Area 51 and drugs in the water,
Chemical contrails from planes with no wings,
I've got a long list of my paranoid things …"
8th of 7, May 27 2014

"Night vision goggles and secret brain implants,
Cloning dictators and test xeno- transplants,
Secret codes hidden in some cellphone rings,
There's really no end to my paranoid things …"
8th of 7, May 27 2014

"Men in white coats and a cop with a taser,
Unwanted injections and a funny white blazer,
The one with the straps, and the buckles and rings …
THEY'RE TAKING ME AWAY FROM MY PARANOID THINGS !"
8th of 7, May 27 2014

       Hahaha, fixed.

       With their soundbites,
and cctv feeds,
we're all being had...
Constantly pummelled by paranoid things,
to be not paranoid would be mad.

       "when I'm feeling sad...

I simply remember my Paranoid things -- and then I don't feel so bad."

       ----

So tell me "la" why do you go around following "Sew"?

I have several of these but no recollection of purchasing them.
tatterdemalion, May 28 2014

That's because your memories have been selectively edited ... did you forget to wear your tinfoil-lined baseball cap ?
