Panda Boots

Spare captive breed Panda boots

Just saw an article saying early man probably ate Pandas, as they found midget panda's bones with wounds probably inflicted by human weapons, perhaps rather than just eating them, it was presumably normal to wear panda fur. Given that the successful captive breeding program probably already produces more pandas than the we can practically return to the wild, on account of unrelated human activity restricting the habitat, I imagine it won't be long till we could consider making a helpful side line of Ugg-style Panda boots for aiding the funding of pandas, once we have a stable captive bred population. I would be happy to wear domesticated Panda fur boots, as opposed to domesticated cow boots, on account of tradition and warmth, no doubt at extortionately expensive prices for the betterment of bio diversity.

       It's not exactly a new idea to make boots or shoes from any kind of animal hide or fur. I'm sure they've all been used at one time or another. I'm really interested in the *bread population*...I see bread people.

       oops (will fix) and record context for future public embarrassment.

       Based on the first sentence of the idea description, this is Known To Exist anthough perhaps not Widely.

       We suggest therefore that the idea can be criticised for failing to incorporate a genuine innovation.

       Fair point. lets call this [baked] by my own admission, before I get wrestlers attacking me. (WWF)

       Panda: the new cow.

       I can't find any clips to link to, but the Simpsons did it. Krusty the clown puts on a panda fur coat and panda-cub fur slippers in one episode.

       [DIY] Are you sure it was Krusty? It reminds me of the Montgomery Burns musical number "See my vest" ("Two Dozen and One Greyhounds" #6.20), although I don't think it mentions Panda.

       Of course at this point Simpsons has probably done every possible joke about six times, so there might have been another.

       Definitely Krusty. Lisa throws some red paint on him (PETA) and he trades out his stained mink coat for a panda coat and slippers.

       //funding of panda's once// Ouch!

       Apart from that, I'll duck out of this one, I think.

       These would be the perfect compliment to my new badger jacket.

       TomP "Panda's once" has now been fixed. Grammatically this has been a bit of a disaster.

       What, you don't think it wiser to show a little furbearance?
Alterother, Oct 16 2012

       Well [alter], some issues aren't always black and white.
