Careful observation has led us to the inevitable conclusion that there are certain types of museum that are inexplicably unpopular with a high proportion of human females.
These tend to include anything to do with aviation, cars, motorcycles, tanks, steam locomotives, weapons, engineering, or chemicals.
It
turns out that "going in anyway to spend hours tramping round looking at boring bits of old metal" while she is left to fume and fester in the car is not a good idea. Although there is a blessed absence of conversation all the way home, it eventually becomes apparent that a small tactical error may have occurred.
We therefore suggest most strongly that from now on, all museums specialising in Bloke things are obliged to be paired with another museum of equal dimensions that women will find interesting, diverting and attractive.

Interesting idea. Delivery could do with less gender assumptions. However, being dragged to things is one of the best ways to discover new stuff that you might not have thought you'd like. So I can see pros and cons. |

We assure you that our data is verifiable, repeatable, evidence-based and fully validated for a statistically significant sample. We are merely stating known and provable fact. |

"Oh look, more bloody aeroplanes. I suppose they're going to be exactly the same as the aeroplanes in every other bloody aviation museum I've had to trudge round ? No, they're not different, they're all exactly the same. No, I don't care if you'll pay for me to come in and sit in the cafe. No, I don't want anything to eat or drink. No, I'll just stay here in the car. Go on, go with your boring nerdy mates, and enjoy yourself, staring at endless identical metal things and muttering. Oh, I'll be fine. I brought my Kindle. Go on, shove off". |

So can we. That's why we posted the idea. |

I would suggest that the reverse is equally true. While I did
go to the "Quilt Museum" in my current home town of my
own free will, it's not an experience I want to repeat. |

Better yet, paired with another aviation museum. |

Am I the only one who has noticed the pachyderm in
the conservatory here? [8th] has a Significant Other??
A female one? Biped? Sighted? |
Sorry that you think this way [8th]. I pretty much like all
that stuff labeled *guy stuff*. I certainly agree with [Ian]
about the shops, though! |
[MB]. Hahaha. 8th is still blissfully ignorant of the *other* sex. |
If I didn't want to go and look at tanks, I'd go off and do my
own thing which doesn't include sewing, quilting or shopping
come to that! |
But why wouldn't you want to go and look at tanks ... ? |
Are there aeroplanes to look at or something ? |
I don't think Borg come in genders. |
No, we don't. But if we did, we would be the sort that are interested in
aviation, cars, motorcycles, tanks, steam locomotives, weapons,
engineering, or chemicals. |

Nicer approach to fly than Kai Tak, but not much. |

// Nobody actually tells you its going to be water on both sides. // |

They didn't mention that you'll be looking up at people hanging out
their washing, either. |

Preferred equipment for an approach to LCY would be a Fieseler
Storch <link>, or possibly a Harrier ... |
