Sometimes when I write letters or send cards, it would be much nicer to actually "speak" the words, rather than write them, and easier too. A small recording device could be attached to the card, which you can tape your personal message on. When someone receives it they just press the "play button" and listen to their message. It could be a song, a sad sorry message or a "happy birthday" card, or maybe a soppy romantic thingy?.

I've seen (heard) the ones that play Christmas carols . . . or a part of a Christmas carol. Uses a dinky little chip/device sandwiched into the card stock and plays when you open the card.

I've read about a recordable paperclip that does what you want, if Peter does not beat me to it I will try to find a link.
