A bagpipe is made with two chanters, one pale wood and one dark wood. There are thirty drones, fifteen pale wood and fifteen dark, their tops carved in the shape of the chessmen. The pipes are blown with an electric blower to save the pipers lungs. Two pipers face each other, each playing one of the chanters, until one of them concedes defeat. |
