This is a simple patch made out of sheet
metal, that has a smallish door in it. The
door
could be cone-style, or flap style. The
sheet
metal can be trimmed to fit nicely over
the
hole in your roof or eaves where the
squirrel/
polecat/raccoon enters your house.
There's no need to flush
the critter out,
or
wait till it leaves, simply patch the hole
with
this device. The next time your uninvited
guest goes out for dinner, it'll have to
search for a new home as well (or
another entrance into yours).

It's be a shame if it had laid eggs or left babies, and was going out to collect food... |
|
|
Btw, if we knew how they got in, the holes would already be boarded over. |

We have a hole in one of our eaves that I
didn't notice until I heard the squirrel in
the wall, and went looking for it. |

//polecat ... enters your house.//
//There's no need to flush the critter out ...// - Damn right - just sell the house. |

I'm afraid you will have to flush that critter out [phlish]. |

Reminds me of another idea on halfbakery, a one-way mosquito screen. See link. |
