One-way pavements and aisles would decrease the frequency
of getting too close or bumping into each other, thus the
number of people an infected person would meet and infect.
Pedestrians on more-or-less populated pavements and aisles
should walk in the same direction. Arrows can be painted on
the floor. In the street pedestrians can go the same way as
cars
go (keep left, clockwise in the UK, Japan, etc.; keep right,
anticlockwise in Europe, the USA, etc.). While car traffic is
reduced it is easier to cross the road.
