Port the OS X GUI (Aqua only, mind you) to Linux as an X11 client. Include an emulator so Linux can run Mac apps.

(I would pay Steve Jobs money for a package like this.)

Rods, could you run Lindows on your iBook then?

Yet another set of annos' where I need Babelfish.

Question for [Rods]: just because *you* won't use it, why would you vote against it?
galukalock, Jan 29 2003

But wouldn't you like to be able to run iTunes or some other such legendarily easy-to-use program on your Linux PC?

Besides, the emulator is NOT the main part of the idea; the idea is to port the GUI of OS X to Linux.
galukalock, Jan 29 2003

Just what Linux needs, another competing GUI.
kropotkin, Jan 30 2003

       Sounds good to me.

Hm, what do I yell when my whole Bingo card is covered?
Monkfish, Jan 30 2003

If the scenario you described happens soon, I'd probably buy it. (Unless it's open-source.)
galukalock, Feb 01 2003

I sure hope that if it ever happens, it's open-source!
BuckWilliams, Apr 02 2003

That's what I meant. If it was open-source, it'd be better, and free.
galukalock, Apr 02 2003

This is more of a request :-)

But ya it would be nice. Although you can do a variation of you are saying - today. Now you don't need a Mac to run Mac OS X. See the Mac OS X for Intel link.
