Numbrella
Yep. Pretty much what you were expecting | |
The UV coated, solar collecting fabric of the Numbrella is insulated on the underside and powers a small, sound proof compressor. As the refrigerant expands up the handle and through the hollow underside louvers...brackets...struts? I don't know what theyre called, the bendy thingies.
Anyway the
heat is released up a hollow insulated tube running up the inside of the refrigerant release handle to upper louvers.
The cold underside coupled with shade makes anyone beneath the Numbrella totally cool.

So, basically, this is based on the principal
of radiant coldth? |
Numbrella? I was expecting an umbrella with a calculator built in. Instead, you're promoting something designed to freeze the brass off a bald monkey. I demand a refund! A recount! A recourse! Aw, forget it. |
Shouldn't the last line read //makes anyone beneath the Numbrella comfortably numb//? |
Lawyers ? Or are they the twisty thingies ? |
I was expecting to be offered a cup of tea... |
It's a small solar-powered fridge for your hands, where, the power-source also provides shade? |
I figured that the coldth would radiate down from the underside...stretchers? <I never would have guessed that they were called stretchers>, and somewhat from the...tube, but the handle would be insulated or removable to convert it to a beach umbrella. |
Comfortably numb wouldn't be a bad slogan. |

Don't get me started on lawyers. I'm sure they're fine folks at heart, but when you've just had an IP lawyer ding you almost a grand for a disclosure agreement, (replete with type-o's) that you could have downloaded for free off the net plus time spent emailing, you just...well you just want your fins back. Bloody sharks. |
[wagster] if you are ever in the neighborhood you are cordially invited for a cup of tea. Don't get a swelled head now though, that offer stands for anyone on this site...B.Y.O.dogsled. |

[pertinax] has it, just not for your hands. Ad a little mister and you've got your own little oasis. |
+ Keep my tea on ice for summer with the numbrella, would ya? |
Do you think adding a little mister will make it more appealing to po? |
a little mister - hmmm? [fans face] |
I thought it was gonna be an umbrella you could eat. |
Or one that injected the user with lidocaine. |
