Ok, imagine: In the future, people drive hovering cars and have X-ray vision goggles and all the stuff you've probably heard was coming in the future.
But did you know they'll also have nose turbines?
A nose turbine is a device which you wear like a hat. On the front, it has a hard wire, which
goes to the back. On the front end of said wire, two curved bars extend down to the nose. The nose ends of these bars are flexible, but not so much that they blow around in the wind. They have small propellers on them. As the wearer breathes through his/her nose, the propellers turn. They create energy, which goes up through wires in the bars, over the top of the hat, and out the back through two wires.
In the future, all electrical plugs are the same. This means that the hat has one plug. The plug can be inserted to your phone, or mp3 player, or futuristic super-device.
The Nose Turbine is available in whatever size you need (so the bars reach your nose). The bars lock into place, so the Nose Turbine is also semi-protective against face injury. The hat part is knit and stretches a bit. It won't fly off, but you can take it off (the bars don't lock it to your head). It comes in red, blue, green, yellow, orange, pink, black, grey, and futuristic-color-changing.
It sounds weird (because it is weird) but if everyone wore one, nobody would laugh.
