Sounds like an extended riff on one of HBO's general ads, where they bundle characters lifted from different shows, fitting their dialog together to make it sound like they're talking to eachother. |

And that would, of course, be a much cheaper way to make the movie - lift clips from the soaps and weave them together. |

Too restrictive. Without artistic freedom to audition the right person for the right role, and "too many cooks" having their say the movies would probably end up mediocre at best. And don't forget the importance of personal chemistry. What's the point of throwing all the top stars into the same movie, willy nilly, if they don't click with each other? A good movie is more than the sum of its parts. |
