The Neodymium Bowtie had a powerful neodymium magnet embedded in the knot. The top button of your shirt is made of steel. Now you can switch from casual to formal attire in less than two seconds! (When not in use, the Neodymium Bowtie can be stored on the fridge.)

A clip-on tie

if the top button on my shirt is made of steel, I could mix and match with all my fridge magnets, including the cockerel that goes cock-a-doodle-doo but thats another story. |

Please share this croissant with po. Fridge magnet potential is the true strength here, not some silly neodymium. |

Clip-on ties have been available, gee, I dunno, at least since the last millennium. Adding a powerful magnet would just preclude you from ever kissing someone wearing braces or a hematite necklace. |

[dalek] If you wear braces* then you could use the neodymium bowtie as a false mustache |

*orthodontic braces, not suspenders |

I am wearing my super-magnetic hat. Watch as I walk into a crowded room and instantly collect everyone's magnetic bow ties. |

Say, is that a nipple piercing, or is it cold in here? |

(Brings metal Dick Tracy radio-watch to mouth for conversation)..*thunk!*.... oh, nuts. |

"Be careful with that, double-oh seven. It's our new Neodymium magnet bow tie boomerang. Throw it through and office window and it circles round, erases every disk within fifty metres, and flies right back to your collar." |

I'm wondering why [hippo] has a 'super-magnetic hat'; presumably just to collect everyone's magnetic bow ties. |

See link. According to William H. Phillpot, M.D. it would be wise to use a magnetic hat. |

if you swap the steel and the magnet, you'd remove the problem of the bowtie slamming into unintended places. Unfortunately that also means the magnetic button would pull any object within range. Just imagine your teeth slamming into that of your date's, just because she was wearing something made of magnetic material. On the other hand, you could use it to draw people unto yourself. Talk about being a babe magnet... |

I saw this on Futurama; "Titanic" episode. Bender the robot had a magnetic bow tie. |
