For those of us who are sick of tossing fruity flavoured cold remedies down out throats. What I want is a cup of coffee that will make me well. The caffeine will make it non drowsy and allow you to get some work done.

For non-Canadians, Neo Citran is a hot lemon flavoured cold medication drink.

In the UK there are various lemon flavoured cold/influenza remedies that are more or less acceptable in black tea.

Since one's palate is usually blunted during a cold, taste isn't so much of an issue. But a coffee-based remedy would be good. (+)

My own cold remedy consists of whisky, honey, and twenty seconds in the microwave.

Putting your self in the microwave for twenty seconds sounds as if it could be more painful than the cold, [angel].

Either the microwave is very big, or [angel] is much smaller than we all thought ......

       Care to enlighten us ?
