Navigation Mirror

Back and Neck Pain Relief Through Better Positioning

Attention road cyclists:

Do you find your lower/upper back and neck getting stiff and sore during or after a long ride?

I do, and I feel it results from being hunched over on a road bike frame while looking straight ahead. I find the pain can be lessened by occasionally angling my head to look straight at my feet, thus straightening my neck and spine.

I propose a durable, anti-fog, adjustable mirror be fixed to the front of the handle bars and angled such that a rider can comfortably look down at the mirror and yet clearly see the road ahead reflected in the mirror.

Possible upgrades/modifications:

- Curve the mirror slightly convex to create a huge field of peripheral vision.

- Add an OSD (on screen display) layer to the mirror that could display GPS data, speed, time, distance, etc.

Thank you for reading.

Yeah, I think it would take some getting used to...but so do clipless pedals, and they can cause accidents too.
