Naked ship mascot

For good luck

According to maritime tradition, a naked woman brings good luck to a ship. Hence perhaps one can be employed by one of these cruise ships to serve as a mascot.

She would likely be attractive. There may be a few of them to do shifts.

She would walk around the ship, her pressence an assurance to the passangers of their good luck. Those who touch her or gawk at her--in essense who disturb her in anyway--would be dropped off at the nearest port, never to board the ship again.

Photos of her and the ship could also be sold.

       Baked, a bazillion times over.

       Really? I'll bet anyone could find a Web reference for something done a bazillion times, especially a bazillion times over. That must be two bazillion times, no?

       Anyway, I've never heard of a naked woman ship mascot that walks around the ship spreading, erm, good luck or whatever, but then I don't get out much.

       Make the mascots co-ed and attract more people.

       //maritime tradition//? //naked woman//? //good luck//? Let’s not forget the Sirens’ allure here, speaking of //never to board the ship again//.

       [DrCurry], elaborate?

       It was the 4th when he said it. Maybe he meant that he once had one... a Brazilian. <g>
Tiger Lily, Jul 05 2003

       He had a Brazilian over for July 4th? Were there fireworks?

       Maybe the washout NY halfcon would have been better attended with such a mascot (Brazilian or no). I'm sure it would have attracted more lurkers in any case!
